COMMUNITY OUTREACH

For more information regarding the following ministries and their opportunities please click the Contact Icon at the bottom of this page.
There are wonderful opportunities provided for us to make a difference beyond the walls of our church. Many in our community are broken, hurting, and struggling with difficult circumstances and hopeless situations. Jesus said in John 10:10:

“…I have come that they may have life,
and that they may have it more abundantly.”

These Community Outreach Ministries provide avenues for us to bring the abundant life Jesus offers to those held captive by their difficult circumstances. Join us as we partner with others in the Valley to strengthen our community.

ALASKA RIGHT TO LIFE

The mission of Alaska Right to Life is to protect and defend innocent human life… from the moment of conception until the natural end of life. Alaska Right to Life is instrumental in restoring legal protection to innocent human life. There are ways you can be involved in protecting innocent life through becoming part of the Alaska Right to Life Committee. We encourage political involvement as well. What an impact you can make when serving with this team of dedicated individuals.

PRISON MINISTRY

The Prison Ministry Team ministers hope to and the love of Jesus to those who are incarcerated. We provide ministry to both men and women.

FAMILY PROMISE MAT-SU

Family Promise mobilizes community resources and local congregations to provide shelter, meals, and case management to families without housing. Homelessness can be an overwhelming problem. Through being a volunteer, you can make a difference in the lives of families that have suffered the loss of their homes.

SERVING OPPORTUNITIES

HEART REACH PREGNANCY CENTER

Trained volunteer staff has been the heart and strength of this ministry since it began in 1986. Serving with our team will stretch you, but the joy of serving will make it all so rewarding. With God’s grace, your ministry will give life and hope to those whom you serve. You will be blessed by being part of:

  • Souls being introduced to Jesus
  • Decision not to abort
  • Healing from past abortion
  • Adoption plans

Without the dedication of volunteers, we could not be as effective in reaching hurting families in our community and making an eternal difference in their lives.

THRIFTERS ROCK

By offering clean and useful items for resale, we will finance God’s harvest, finance the ministries of Church on the Rock, bless others, our community, and the Kingdom of God. We are excited about the opportunities the thrift store provides for Church on the Rock. It connects us with the community, provides a place for people to serve the Great Commission, grafts us into the business community, and provides an income stream for the future Palmer Campus building, missions, and other ministries.
